THE SAKHI

THE SAHKI is a special project for me where I combined my fashion background with UX strategy to redesign a luxury e-commerce experience focused on clarity, trust, and emotional connection. I owned the end-to-end design of a responsive platform across web and mobile (UK, US, EU & Australia), improving task completion by 30% and contributing to a 20%+ revenue increase through usability and accessibility improvements.

The platform is evolving into a more personalised experience with AI-curated outfit recommendations for weddings and special occasions, style-based suggestions, and direct designer consultations for custom-made fashion—blending personalisation, luxury, and convenience.

Heuristic Evaluation

Conducted a heuristic evaluation for The Sakhi using Jakob Nielsen’s 10 usability heuristics to identify usability and accessibility issues across desktop and mobile experiences.

Key findings included:

  • Inconsistent navigation and hover states

  • Missing search and filtering functionality

  • Poor wishlist/cart usability

  • Lack of intuitive feedback and error prevention

  • Limited mobile optimization

  • Visibility and accessibility issues within PDPs and image carousels

Delivered actionable UX recommendations focused on:

  • Improving navigation and discoverability

  • Enhancing consistency and visual feedback

  • Reducing cognitive load

  • Optimizing mobile shopping experience

  • Increasing efficiency through better search, filters, and product interaction

The evaluation helped prioritize quick, high-impact usability improvements to create a smoother and more intuitive shopping experience for customers.
